Default Hallo'wharre 09 ~ Oct 23rd-25th (Uwharrie Rover Expedition)

This is the last big Uwharrie trip of the season. Would be cool to see some rovers from LRO show up for this one. This trip also coencides with the Uwharrie Rover Expedition trip that is planned for the same weekend (Old North State Land Rover Club is Hosting). So you will be guaranteed to run into a good number of Rovers wheeling on the trails too!

Located in the Uwharrie National Forest of NC there is plenty of wheeling fun to be had.

Stock rigs to modified rigs will have plenty of challenges to tackle on the trails. Trails range from easy to extremely difficult:

Camp sites are available at the Arrowhead Campgrounds, or you can do primitive camping along the trails. Campsites with electricity are $15 a day. There is also camping available at the Badin Lake Campgrounds.

Day trail passes are $5 a piece and can be picked up at the Eldorado Outpost:

The Eldorado Outpost
4021 NC Route 109
Troy, NC 27371

They also can provide trail maps (if you didn't print out one), camping supplies, fuel, and a big plus free compressed air to air up your tires.

You are more than welcome to tag along even if you don't have a rover. There will be other brands out there, and also there will always be empty seats to ride along if you don't want to scratch your ride.

Feel free to post any questions you have. See you on the trails.

LEGAL DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A NON-SPONSORED EVENT, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF, YOUR VEHICLE, AND YOUR PASSENGERS. ALL NATIONAL FOREST RULES AND STATE LAWS APPLY WHILE WHEELING/CAMPING IN THE UWHARRIE NATIONAL FOREST.

According to their website:

URE!6 B2B!
So I would say yes. Keep in mind you have to be a member of Old North to actually "be apart of their group". Our group is separate from theirs, and there is no sign up/membership etc. That doesn't mean you won't probably run into them on the trails and get to wheel with them/watch them wheel. Its just like the groups that go during Zuwharrie (Suzuki Event). There is the big group that pays/signs up etc, and then the other smaller groups that do their own thing.

Seems this is something you are adamant about it, so best of luck and hope you have fun. We may see you guys Friday when we do our bunny trail runs, probably won't see you Saturday because the Rover group doesn't do Daniel.

If you change your mind the offer still stands to wheel with the non North-State group.

There was a pretty good Rover turn out, ran into a couple groups of Rovers between the 3 days of wheeling. Just didn't see any on Daniel Friday, oh well. Hope everyone that showed up had fun.
