Let me start by asking you why you are being such a [fleshy man lobe of goodness]?

I think you'll find I included rather more than that, guess you missed my other post

Once again you have read something that wasn't typed.

If it was a one off, then yeah. But I'm talking about an ENTIRE industry which has proven itself in competition.

SERIUOSLY EVERY frigging Land Rover specialist in the UK has developed or uses some kind of dislocating suspension.

So you are trying to say that every single one of them is wrong?

WTF has this to do with anything, not just this topic.

OK, if it's just dress as you claim anser this:

1. WHY are dislocating suspension setups so popular in competion and successful?

2. Why have many independant firms, usually run by engineers and enthusiasts develop such kits for the sole purpose of increased off raod ability?

Now try and be an adult and actually answer without insults or smarmy comments.

But that kind of thing isn't big here in the UK, maybe in Oz and the US.

But again it has f'all to do with a suspension system designed for off road use.

You see you are just being a total [BLANK] again.

Go and look at these sites, they are all leading shops in the UK for Land Rover parts, generally stock replacement and off road spares NOT frigging neon lights. And then tell me how many of them sell dislocation cones/suspension:

-Scorpion Racing
-Paddock Spares
-John Craddock
-Famous Four
-Simonite Sisters
-Cheviot 4x4
-Devon 4x4
-MM 4x4

Or just flip through the pages of Land Rover Owner, Land Rover International or any of the other magazines.

So hay try something new today, make a post and don't be twat

300 I have posted many points why they don't work well. Just read for a change. Don't see them much on competition vehicles here and I go out with and see most of the top competition trucks in Oz.

I could name a lot of assessory manufacturers that don't make them. Lets start with one of the biggest in the world like ARB that make OME.

Your posts continue to be very long, but don't contain much. But keep them coming, they make my day.

300bhp, I think that you should do your own research before posting things. Looked at a few of the suppliers you had listed and I could not find cones on most of them. But I did find some things that would improve your vehicle greatly off road, like heavy duty anti-sawy bars, drilled and slotted brake discs (work well in the mud) ans something that rips their reputations to shreads, they sell hiclones. Now they really improve your car off-road.

Even though I enjoy your posts, you are really not helping any creditability that you may have hoped to establish.

What difference does it make that companies make them?? Companies make condoms, too. But they weren't effective when your [blank] used them.

.....makes me want to just run out and buy a Vidalia Chop Wizard, just because someone makes it.

There is something just plain wrong with agreeing with Hank, so I will simply continue to disagree with 300bhp.

With what exactly??

I mean all I've done is stated that they are popular over here, espcially in competitoin.

And supplied what I know of how they work, I so far have not seen anyone (Hank excluded for good reason) disagree with the theory I've offered. All you seem concerned with is putting words in my mouth and going on about random topics of no concern to the debate.

As already stated I don't even run frigging dislocation cones, so unlike Hank am not using some perverse bias just claiming what I have is best and all else isn't.

If I'm wrong with any explanation, PLEASE correct me as I'm willing to learn. However bashing and random bs really don't help the cause for anyone.

So what points in particular do you disagree with? And please offer up a reason as to why and an alternative to what is better?

This way we can actually have a debate rather than name calling and everyone stands a chance of learning something they didn't know.

MAn, what a thread. Very good to see heated debating, and Hank's immaturity through constant name calling.

Unfortunately, this has left me a little confused. I was hoping that after reading this , I would say to my self " ______ is what I am doing to my truck". Now, I don't know if I want retaining, or cones.... I guess I'll keep on reading.
