Tell me, what are The Best places to off road in the US??
hey guys, I'm kind of trying to dream up a dream job here. If you could travel and hit up the 12 best places in the US to off road your Rover, what do you think would place in those top 12 places?
I'm looking for the name of the trails and the state they are in. Really, I want something that is scenic and challenging, ready GO!!

Tellico is on the list for sure, even though it is still under temporary closure. I am sure out of Moab, The Rubicon, Wind Rock, Black Mountain, River Rock, and Grey Rock some of those would be on there.
NICE, after Uwharrie we were hanging out at the outpost and they were all talking about great trail systems, made me want to know more and check out some other places, I've done every trail at uwharrie now minus a few beginner trails and I want to know what else is out there, maybe feature a few on my site

From what I hear the scenery out there is great. But beyond that its not really challenging off-roading its more for sight seeing. Which is cool in its own right.
As far as trail systems in the area (NC) there aren't a lot. Tellico is still closed, Callalantee is 2-2 1/2 hrs away, Gulches is around the same, and WindRock is around 3 hours. Jellico is out that way too, but I don't know much about it. I have been going to Uwharrie for 4 years and am just now starting to get a tiny bit bored.
Callalantee is fun if you are looking for something different. Welder and Armor All will be plenty of a challenge, and if you want to break stuff you can always do Little Tellico and Pull Cable. WindRock is another option but its damn expensive at $17 a person per day. The Gulches can be fun, but its a fairly small park with only enough stuff to do for maybe a day trip.
If Tellico was open I would say head out there for sure. But for now if you want to stay in the 3hr and under range of driving Uwharrie is it. I don't know how long you have been wheeling at Uwharrie, but there is a lot of variety to be had there especially when it gets wet later in the season or when it rains.

Harlan Ky. Beasly knob in ga. Big south fork and royal blue in tn. Coppinger cove is great in south east tn. and by far if tellico ever opens it is some of the best riding around.
