Florida Road and Ma bell road are the only ones I know of that are legal in the western mass area.

Southern New Hampshire Land Rover Club is heading out there for the weekend in two weeks.

I went there today and went in past the swamp, and ran the whole trail without issue. On one of the steep rock drop offs I needed to reposition and was actually able to back up it. . I was continually surprised by the stock 88, with 265/75 bfg all terrains. one of the mud holes on the trail was deep! My passenger fender just about went under water.

Just so you know there are no go arounds on Florida road those are actually off-limits areas that people have made to get around the rough areas. You unknowingly violated the trail rules by using that.

Other than that glad to hear you had a good time. You should come out and do it and ma bell road with us in 2 weeks

I didn't sway completely off the trail just had to go right against the tree and stack rocks at the big ledge.

I am the head of the Union college mountain bike team and we deal with the same problem ever day. people ride and cut corners and the land gets closed because of erosion or injuries.

You seriously mean to tell me that you went out on the trail alone?

That's a little risky dontcha' think?

Sounds like you drove Florida Rd in what is considered to be the backwards direction. It's a little more challenging the other way around. And just so you and everybody else knows, all bypasses on Florida Rd are illegal.

In the future, if you can't find another vehicle to go with you, don't go. Nothing bad may have happened this time, but anyone who wheels regularly will tell you, when things do go bad, they go real bad, real fast.

thanks, I have been wheeling for a lone time, I did not go anywhere illegal, I know I did the trail backwards, and I had a number of people in the valley who told me to call them if I had any trouble. I figured I would share my short story with you to exhibit the capabilities of a stock series rover. I have a fully modded classic, that I could have used on the trail, but I tested the series and was surprised by what it was capably of. I plow 60 of the driveways no one else will do every-time it snows with my 88, so I know what problems can arise. the guy riding with me, who is a jeep guy, said "its land rovers or nothing" which I thought was pretty awesome.
