Default Up in the local hills

Last saturday i went up into the snow in the local hills with 5 other trucks. all were equipped with aftermarket stuff, from just more aggressive tires to full on 4x4 extreme use stuff. 2 toyota, 2 nissan, 1 old ford full size and my 97 disco. anyway, i never got stuck and even pulled out the ford! my budies were blown away that my STOCK disco with 86k miles on my XPCs could hang with them.

Later that evening, we went and playind in some mild to medium mud and short articulation oriented climbs andthey were again blown away by out the disco did. anyway, just had to say, i never expected to by a 4x4 kind of guy... but this rig allows me to be and then allows my wife to have a very comfy daily commuter 5 days a week. the ultimate 'best of both worlds' situation!

Sounds like you had a fun time! WTG!!!...show who is boss, and good job at not getting stuck.....

have to get my rating scale in here......+2 for pulling out a ford (you get a +5 for Jeeps, but fords arent worth much, lol ), and +5 for impressing non-rover owners (+1 per other vehicle) grats, just earned 7 rover points...yay!

I can only imagine how impressed you will be when you mod it out.

sorry, our mods will only consist of 245/70/16s when the time comes for new tires, a LR to US Standard pig tail for the trailer and removal of the running boards. we have found no reason for other mods. yesterday we traversed over 2ft of water/mud, 3 wheeled down a rutted out hill, climbed over sand hit a mud hole without issue. well, one issue... the hood heat/sound shield got soaked and droopy.

i have found the only thing i don't really like about the truck is how long it takes to WASH so that my wife doesn't get dirty getting in and out!

leaving it stock is in no way a bad thing, i dont think it would ever get old blowing people away with what a stock LR can do.

A stock LR driven well will always out perform any modded vehicle driven poorly! Driving skills are always the most important mod!

Awesome pic by the way!
