weekend in uwharrie - Land Rovers Only

had a great campsite right on badin lake. met up with some cool people. although i was the only rover there, you need to get you butt up here stolenheron. school takes priority, is that a joke..haha. the rover had one moment of shame though, i had to get yanked up one section of steep loose rock, oh well, new project install cdl from d1 so that wont happen again. (hopefully haha) while draider90's truck walked right up it. all in all though the ole girl did good and i had a great time.

It was great meeting you, hope your trip home went well. Had a blast and the Rover did impress quite a few times. I really thought you were going to make it up the hill, but the 1 wheel drive killed ya. Thanks again for showing and will have pictures/videos up sooner than later hopefully. Dante and Heron missed out!

looks like fun! yeah, i wish i coulda gone, i went camping last second last night about 10 miles outta town and had to rush back this morning at about 8am to get back to studying, definitely wouldn't have been a good weekend making that long ass drive ahha

thats about how long it takes me to get there. yea you should come. hell you shoulda came last weekend it was posted for about 2 weeks just nobody else showed.

I don't know about the other local Rover guys, but the group I wheel with (and that went on this last trip) I try to organize trips at least once a month. If we are lucky we will get 2 trips a month in. It would be cool if we could get some Rover guys going on a regular basis. The next planned trip is for the weekend of the 24th,25th, and 26th. With the main day being the 25th. Right now we are planning a full weekend trip, but if worse comes to worse we will just turn it into a 25th day run.

If you remember the bypass you took on Falls Dam around the rocks, I had never seen it done before. But I guess it is the new thing, XTrerra doing it:
