Question What off road equipment?

In an effort to see where's the best place to divert cash-

What was the last piece of off road equipment did you use and how long ago?

I'll start- Winch and tree protector earlier today.

Sliders - Use them on 80% of the trails I do (but because I have them I take the harder lines)

Staun tire deflater with guage. To 10 psi. The unit removes the schrader valve in line so you can deflate faster, without losing the schraeder offroad. Love it. One of the best investments I made for offroading. Deflates a 32" from 45psi to 10psi in less than 30 seconds.

Tow Rope
16 P.S.I.

Friends had on chains.. Hmmmm....

I use cheaper tire deflators, don't see the point on spending the $$ for stuan!

the one thing you DEFINITELY want to have inyour truck when off road is a first aid kit. You may never use it, but you'll wish you had it when/if something does go bad. Go to Sports Authority, Cabellas, or Bass ProShops and get yourself a multi-person kit with all sorts of goodies. Then buy a small Storm Case or Pelican Case to keep the time-sensative stuff from going bad sooner than normal.

I noticed that none of you mentioned a "snatch" strap.
by far the best, quickest, and least expensive piece of active recovery gear you can get.

sure, a winch is great, but expensive, heavy, and not everyone can justify installing one on their vehicle. A Snatch strap will attach to any proper recover point and yank a stubbornly stuck vehicle into motion again. It is also very quick to install, anyone in your convoy can use it (not just the one truck that has a winch), and it is relatively inexpensive (considering it's substantial utility).

Also called a kinetic yanker, kinetic strap, snatch strap, dynamic strap, etc you get the picture.

Used it multiple times last time wheeling.
