Oh boy. I could go on for hours, but I'll keep it simple... limit it to my top 5:

Cricket Hill Colonel Blides Altbier - Local (fairfield, nj) brewery, its 7% ... hoppy yet smooth beer

Westvleteren Abt 12 -- Finest trappist brew in the world.. 10.2% ... very rare.. brewed by the monks of Abbey of Saint Sixtus of Westvleteren in Belgium. Not for retail sale in stores... must be imported from Belgium

Rochefort 10 -- Another trappist, 11.3% .. brewed in Rochefort, Belgium ... Able to find in specialty beer stores.

Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale -- Amazing on draft... not as great in the bottle.. light fruit beer.. 5.2% .. brewed in Bar Harbor Maine

Allagash White -- Belgian styled witbier .. brewed in Portland, MA .. 5.5% ... like a Hoegaarden but better.

Few others I enjoy: duvel, westmalle, orval, dogfish head [mmm 120min ipa], weihenstephaner, rogue imperial pilsner, stone ruination, etc..

Ale:#1 fav regardless laughing lab it's a local brew from bristols here in colorado springs

Specialty Beer: laughing lab XXX they only made it once as a special for their 10yr anniversary. that was some STRONG beer

pretty much anything from bristols, is good. i also like beer from the moose's tooth in anchorage. guniess is always good, so is fat tire.

Anything with color and flavor is usually fine. The more interesting, or better story behind the beer usually signals a decent one.

I had my first ever Corona last month. YUCK. I was desperate after shoveling so I joined the neighbors (who have proven their poor tase with a white H3 in the garage) for a few rounds. Amazing what you can choke down after shoveling massave amounts of snow.

Beer is like snow. Avoid the yellow variety (for the most part).
