Two NYC fireman were killed last Sunday fighting a fire in the Bronx. One of the firefighters was from our little town here in NJ. Mike Reilly was a 25 yo fireman who started at age 16 on our vol. fire co. then served in the Marines in Iraq and finially had a chance to work with FDNY.
We had 10,000+ Firefighers from all over the country and even Canada in our town today to attend Mr. Reilly's services.

It was incrediable to see these firefighters show up from all over the country, as far away as San Diego and even Canada. Hundreds of buses, cars, trucks even trains and helicopters brought these guys into our town like an invasion...just to show there respects.
It took a couple of hours for all these guys to walk the mile from church to firehouse, packed as tightly as the pics show.

Those are great pictures, Ish.
It's a shame he lost his life at an early volunteering to help save others. Thanks for sharing; it helps reinforce what millions do of putting their lives on the line to help protect and/or save others. Melissa |
