Taliban flee battle using children as shields: NATO

KABUL (Reuters) - Taliban fighters used children as human shields to flee heavy fighting this week during an operation by foreign and Afghan forces to clear rebels from around a key hydro-electric dam, NATO said on Wednesday.

I have to guess at this point that the honor our soldiers, sailors, and Marines pride themselves in, is totally non-existant in the Taliban. Using women and children and civilians for shields is unconscionable.
No matter how terrible it might be we need to think like them to destroy them. If you take out a few hundred of them while they're using human shields maybe they'll quit using human shields.

Daimler axes 13,000 Chrysler jobs in major overhaul

DETROIT/FRANKFURT (Reuters) - DaimlerChrysler announced 13,000 job cuts at Chrysler on Wednesday and may part ways with its loss-making North-American arm, which would unwind a 1998 mega merger creating the world's fifth-biggest car maker.
The job losses are the latest in a yearlong series of devastating cuts in the ailing domestic auto industry, which likely will lose more than 100,000 jobs in all.
So if eventually no one produces any cars in America how long will it take the population of workers to realize that MAYBE the Unionized Auto Worker and his management are to blame?
I've reported the numbers before. But the benefits package of UAW employees is a huge part of the cost of an American automobile. And the quality of the product is arguably less than the foreign competitors.

White House opens doors to Iraq refugees

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration plans to allow about 7,000 Iraqi refugees to settle in the United States over the next year, a huge expansion at a time of mounting international pressure to help millions who have fled their homes in the nearly four-year-old war. The United States has allowed only 463 Iraq refugees into the country since the war began in March 2003, even though some 3.8 million have been uprooted.
Yeah...no chance any terrorist will infiltrate that bunch...nah.
How much will the FBI spend watching these 7000 for 5-10 years to make sure they're not terrorists?

The taliban using kids as shields is a regular occurance, many Muslim factions use women and children to protect themselves, they are truly cowards in the worst way , when they are in danger of being bombed they threaten local villagers to stay in thier houses and in thier bases, if they are hit they claim thier enemies purposely target innocent lives, i'm not anti-Islam, my father is Muslim, i'm just pissed on thier tactics making others of the faith look bad
