Well...it didn't really suck for me...it blows for my mom. (don't get the wrong idea there) LOL
Anyways, my mother was on her way back from work...she works at the Federal Complex in downtown Detroit as an IRS agent. She was I-96 westbound out of Detroit and she was in the middle lane, doing rush hour speeds of just 65 mph. A guy switches lanes on my mom, and going way faster than needed...smacked the rear passenger door of my mom's, well cared for, well maintained, beautiful body conditioned, 86' Mercedes 420 SEL. ![]() Made a nice fat, yet gentle dent covering most of that door, and catching some of the 1/4 panel and wheel well. She proceeded to pull over when the asshole that struck her took off, not even slowing down. Took off so fast, my mom couldn't catch the plate number on time. This pissed me off. Yeah it ain't my car...that's not the point...it's just these hit and run bastards that get away from a simple ticket. He is lucky to have gotten away. If he was caught, he would get a massive ticket for hit and run. Thank god my mom is ok, the car still drives, the door still opens and closes. But now it is something else for me to fix that was not needed til' now. I was going to repaint the body from some bubbling rust in tiny parts of the fenders and tailgate. Now it is a process of pulling the massive dent out and making that straight. I am pissed. Times for me right now are shitty as fuck. Seriously I oughta write a book on recent events since the beginning of September, it would be a fuckin' novel by year's end. And go figure, this bullshit with the hit and run, took place on Friday the 13th. ![]()

Ahh shucks Pat, that is awful. Keep the faith, I absolutely guarantee that somewhere right now someone is a lot worse off than you....You are never given more than you can handle.
