Default Lease Buy-Out ?

Have any of you guys bought out your LR at the end of a lease?

When I had a Ford they were willing to neg the buy-out and dropped a few G's, but so far no luck with Land Rover.

Any and all advice welcome !!

It's a 2005 RR HSE, the dealer will process the truck as a CPO for $1,800 over buy out, which includes extended warranty and 3.9% finance.

Wow, you're still alive!

I have no experience, but I know GadgetRick from muddyoval.com just bought out his 2004 DII from a lease, I think from LR Paramus, so you may want to contact him if he doesnt chime in here.

Actually; 1800 over sounds pretty good. The time in labor to set up the inspection for CPO alone will be half of that. And if they find anything wrong, or in need of fixing, that will be on their dime. Plus the extended warranty will cost a pretty penny on the outside. I'd say go for it.

I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery that the lease is due Feb 2009. The lending company has agreed upon a reduction of $1000 from my payoff. They said they usually don't negotiate until 6 months left.

Probably worried about the drop in sales due to gas prices.
