are the roads in the Sierra mountains salted? - Land Rovers Only

Anyone know if the roads in the Sierras given a solution of sand and salt to melt the snow? Was told that salt wasn't mixed in whatever they are laying on the snow here in the west coast ... but the Tacoma was covered with a grayish ashy soot? any one know?

in lake tahoe and on the Mt. Rose pass they use salt when it is bad.....in reno, down in the valley they usually use just sand, but occationally salt. Im not sure how that goes for the rest of the sierras.

So I know Mt Rose is North.. I stay mostly south by Markleevile how could we find out for sure? that salt stuff can kill you cars sheet metal

have to blast the undercarriage of the truck ASAP.. !

yeah, my mistake.....should of asked someone else, just asked my dad....yup, can confirm no salt. Im thinking of that blue chemical salt-like stuff....they dont use it on the roads, but its always on the side-walks, etc. etc.
