Default Stock or modded?

The above poll is just some ideas, when does your truck cease to be stock, and move into the modded category?

I would say none of these.

Would define as engineered in such a manner as to increase performance. This combines all listed options, and a few more.

Otherwise, it's just cosmetic.

It usually starts at the lift I'd say. By putting a lift on a truck, which seems to be the first mod for most people, you are making a serious modification that affects so many other aspects to the vehicle such as, drive shafts, brake lines, rotoflexes, etc...

It's all downhill, or uphill as the case may be, from there.

I disagree with you slightly SCSL in how you are applying your definition of modification. By doing a lift, or even larger tires, you have increased the performance of the truck for a particular application. In this case it would be for off-road. Therefore it has been modified.

Cosmetic would be racing stripes or spinners for wheels.

As soon as your rear end hits the seat.

Virgin only happens once!

Just check the resale value. Only gets worse the more you mod.

Hahaha

I picked bumpers and protection. I think that once you have a bumper you can slam on rocks, or sliders to allow you to drag your belly then you are increasing your offroad abilities beyond stock, hence the vehicles is modded!

I dont think it would be tires, due to the fact that there are so many differnt kinds and they only last so long.

P.S. I kinda think that there should be an all the above to be honest! If you do any of them that is listed, I think your rig would be considered "modified"!

I think when I added the snorkel my vehicle was 'modded' ... finally people look at my truck and go 'WTF?'

I choose lift as well. i think it's prolly the biggest improvement to enhancing a rigs offroad capabilities. it allows for bigger tires. gets your belly up off the ground, etc.

I think its kind of a combination of lift and bumpers as either one can be seen as an improvment or modification. I dont think bigger tires really count. There are different classes of mods some people like the factory ride height but add things like sliders, bumpers, and such all of which are mods.

So I say once you add something that makes some sort of major change to the truck it is considered modified.
