Default Straight Talk Or Sprint ?

Ok , i've been really looking around for plans ( i dont want to hear anything BETTER or Worse than the Two , JUST VOTE , or Help me out would be nice )

Straight Talk:
-unlimited Everything for 30 days
- Just came out from what i hear ( no sure) < ( will they last ? )

Sprint:
-Solid , service that has been around for forever !
- 600 , or 450 mintues ( dont talk that much) and Unlimited text for 450

Bottom Line:
-which is more realiable , I know Straight Talk ( or think ) it is new , and i dont know if its going to stay around forever. Plus Sprint has better phones , and im guessing better service , BUT Could you help me out ?

since you don't want to hear anything better than the two i'll just vote neither. but hears some food for thought,... strait talk are co locaters of the wireless world. they rent space, lines and airwaves in the central office and install their own switch. i have seen companys come and go on a monthly basis leaving hanging cables and empty racks. sprint on the other hand has a great backbone network and great service but i'm biased against them for their costomer service. i had them for 7 years never had a contract nor wanted one. i shelled out 4 to 5 hundred bucks a couple times a year on phones and even had the then cutting edge pcs vision the very first true internet you could get on a cell phone. so needless to say i was shelling out a couple thousand a year to them just so happens my phone at the time went to shit and needed a new one but was broke at the time so since i have been there so long i inquired about getting a contract price phone with out the contract. talked to the manager he did some checking and came back with well in three days your eligable for some sort of great deal for long time costomers i didnt have three days since this was my only means of communications. explained that to him and he said oh well come back in 3 days and could not talk him into it. having many friends and contacts in wireless i new he could have gave it to me being a manager but didn't so i said fuck it cancel my service and swore them off ever since. end rant haha.

I would go with sprint. The coustomer service lacks a little. But the new thing is all free mobile to mobile no matter the provider. So you min choice would be fine. But you only get the free m2m on the everything plan I think.

I have had good luck with T Mobile for nine years. Bought an unlocked phone on the internet for $50 and have a no-contract account called Flex with T Mobile for $40 per month. 650 minutes which I never use up. I can switch at no cost at any time but have not felt the need yet.

The most important comment is not to sign a contract with anyone for any reason.

If your only choices are only these two then, Sprint - never a reseller of another's network. It's probably the sprint network anyways,,, CDM technology, but that's even getting better nowadays. With that being said, I have verizon and it is the better of the three big carriers, unless you MUST have the iphone then it's only one carrier. I'm not convinced that network is complete yet, 3G. If all you do is talk and text most any will do. My preferance is for the GSM technology - att and others. But the US has not mastered GSM T-mobile is spotty in some parts of the US. If you travel internationaly GSM is the way to go, you can buy a prepaid sim card when you arrive and off you go..

Choose your plan carefully $$$ add an unlimited text plan if you text and don't get sucked into a cheap (free) phone. Get one you will love for the next two years.

Very smart for the average - low end user. It is done this way internationally in many countrys. We are cell phone hogs and always have it to our ear and for some reason it's not cool unless you pay out the A** for it. The iphone cost the average user over $100 a month.

He sounds new and young and will blow his phone up. Heavy users don't benefit from pre-paid or the non-contract plans. Even the unlimited i.e. Cricket - They have very crappy coverage as they are using an older, more limited network. Go with how you use your phone not what tv ad seems most appealing.

Sprint was the first cell service I had. I'd forgotten the password to my voice mail account and called to ask them to change it. Was told it would take 24 hours. 30 hours later I called back because it wasn't done, was told it was really 48 hours. Called back another 24 hours later and was told that the first two people were wrong, that it was really 78-112 hours. 3 months later they still had not managed to reset my password. Despite repeated requests they refused to stop service. The only way I could get them to shut off my service was to stop paying the bill.

I've had Cingular, now ATT, since then (about 6 or 7 years) and customer service, the few times I've needed it, has been top notch. As an example, the phone I got for my son was poorly designed and it was very easy to accidentally activate web access and start incurring data charges. I'd got it for him solely as a phone so didn't get a data plan. When I got the next bill there was something like $600 in data charges. I called ATT and they removed them from the bill, with the only condition being that I block data access on his phone. They gave me no grief at all about it.
