Speaking of the Jag, I did a complete tune up on her today. You absolutely have to love a Jaguar inline 6. Dizzy easy to get to in the open on the passenger side. Spark plugs lined right up on the top of the motor with absolutely nothing in the way
I did the plugs wires cap rotor air filter and coolant temp sensor in about 90 minutes. I thought she was smooth running before but after she was even better. I also fixed the dead cruise control, topped off the coolant, washer fluid and power steering fluid while I was under there. I also tightened down the valve cover as I noticed just a little oil leaking into the number 6 spark plug well. As loose as the screws were I think that will solve the leak. Working under the bonnet of that old girl is a pleasure.

dont hate cause mines the bomb. haha. but I wouldn't mind getting him a brother like a 93 Defender 110 or another disco and converting it into a pickup, both of which I am going to own sometime in my lifetime. but right now its just him and he's begging for mods. To bad I cant deliver right now. might have a door mod in the works this spring though.

She is pissing me the fuck off right now. Back at Christmas on the way to my dad's she started idling horribly at stop, and my gas mileage took a huge shit. So I get back home , had an array of codes, pointed to vacuum leak. Changed out hoses, seafoamed her, she was happy for a minute. Still throwing a MAF, mine was old, so I replaced that, and the air filter, cleaned the throttle body and IAC. Idle getting better and gas mileage is too. Still throwing one code, pissing me off, gonna check the ohms on the connector that goes to the MAF. Checked all the plugs, driver's side was carboned up pretty bad as well as driver's side O2. You know how this is a process, I just haven't had many days to fiddle with her cause it has been so damn cold. Worked on her for hours yesterday. Bad idle is barely noticeable now, but still there along with the P0447 code that has never gone away. So I am just going to check connectors. She will be ok, just peeing me off right now.

I can feel your pain. My P38 always had a few tricks up it's sleeve when I least needed it to. Lucky you are compitant enough to do the Disco work yourself. Most dont know their asshole from their elbow so your already half way there. Just give yourself a break and go back to it with a clearer head. Maybe time for a Texas Booty call to get your head right.
