1 week old LandRover owner... needing a duplicate key
I just purchased a '99 RR, but was provided with one key only, which is part of the remote thingy that doesn't operate at the present time ( probably a dead battery ) but I can't be sure because the previous owner buggered up the opening slot so bad that I haven't as yet been able to open it. I hate tearing it up just to see about changing out the batteries. Anyway, I think having only one key for my RR is a really bad idea, especially since I have early stages of mad-cow disease and will probably forget where I put it last.
So. . . . is a Land Rover dealer the only place to get replacement / additional keys ? I sure hope not because the nearest dealer is at least 250 miles away.
