I’m unsure how wide-spread this situation is but as very satisfied customers of BVLR, this is close to our heart. We are quite displeased by the whole ordeal. Nevertheless, Bear Valley Land Rovers is an outstanding corporation with uncommon customer service. Unfortunately, they are defendants in lawsuits filed by both Land Rover UK and Land Rover NA. All the details have been disclosed at Bear Valley's website http://www.bvlr.com/
We have expressed our distaste for frivolous litigation to LRNA in letter. Please take the time to visit their site and show your support for one of the good guys. ![]() |

Interesting situation, Independant Land Rover Specialists are not just tolerated here in the UK but are positivley encourged! (OK, OK so a chunk of EU legistation has helped this situation). Land Rover UK have plans to introduce an "approved independant specialist" network with various types of grading, LRUK have also just launched A "Classic Parts" distributorship aimed at selling OE parts for older "obsolete" vehicle through dealers but they are also looking for independants to become "franchisees" for want of a better word. This looks like a case of a group of corporate lawyers looking to justify their existance (W#NKERS). Or maybe some regular franchised dealer getting vindictive as they can't get their act together. From what I hear of US litigation cases and the eventual cost of them, it might be better for "BVLR" to start another company eg "BVLR Series II" sell all the assets of "BVLR" to "BVLR Series II" then declare BVLR bankrupt/insolvent/whatever thus dodging the lawsuit. Chickens way out I know but cases like this often become a war of attrition and Ford will have a lot more to "attrite" than BVLR. |
