Default a bit carried away

Opps.

Went down the road last night to do some deliveries with the trailer. Ended up buying a knacked range rover. 3.5V8 vogue se . No MOT or tax and not running . Had to winch it on to the trailer. Not quite what the wife was expecting when I got back. I was only gone two hours! On the plus side my 110 300tdi pulled like a train. How much will the rover weigh?

macdon:
"Vogues" were never imported to the U.S. as far as I know (anyone correct me if I'm wrong).I happened to see a classic "vogue" in person parked under a tree in front of a big residence while I was living at the Dominican Republic. They have lots of european-specs. and japanese domestic market (JDM)vehicles. It's a good place to visit if you're a JDM and or/euro-spec. car freak and it's really close to the continental U.S.

I'm not familiar with MOT and tax in UK, but once you got it running and fixed, can you legally have it on the road again? or did you bought it just for off the road parts? ,because for a $200 pounds Range rover that you can have it legally on the road again, that's a really nice deal and a really nice project, depending on how much fixing it needs, as I'm assuming it needs quite a bit of fixing.Post pictures anyway!!!

One other thing that you can probably clarify:
While I was living at the Dominiucan Republic this light metallic-blue classic Vogue that I saw had a particular emblem:
While all the "Vogues" that I have seen advertised on internet had a "Vogue" or "Vogue SE" emblem on block letters in the tailgate, this particular one that I saw had a "Vogue" emblem kind of in italics, in the very same manner as the ones that say "county" or "hunter" on this respective editions. If anyone else has any info. on these other "vogue" versions please give an update or clarification if these were more equipped with gadgets and stuff than the other "vogues" "vogues se's" with block letters or vice versa.
Thanks,
Carlos

Default vogue se

the model vogue se is in block letters on the tail gate. An MOT costs about £40 in the UK and checks the car is safe to use on the road. I bought it to 'play' (I have a 110 300tdi which I was going to 'play' in but it's my work car and if I break it I am screwed. (I work for myself. With my wife we run a garden nursery with about 10 acres. No road ways on most of it so the 110 is seriously off road everyday but for work purposes) but I think I can get it ready for MOT very cheaply. I bought a new dizzy cap (£11) rotor arm (£6) and will clean the plugs up. I think it should run alright then. It has no bumper so I will have to source one 2nd hand. The rear tail gate is seriously rusted so I will plate it with checker plate. If it gets MOT'd easily then I will use it as a run around. If not... lets play!!
Yes it was very cheap. A stroke of luck really. looking around I reckon it is probbaly worth between £500-800 quid depending on MOT. The guy I bought it from could not get it started so gave up!!
