Hey all: I have the ability to purchase a new/few years old LR from the other side of the Atlantic. I have a buddy who owns a dealership in the UK and can get LHD models - they use them in Europe.
What are the import and rego considerations I need to think about, obviously buying one here would seem easier - but not for over $35K (current price of one on eBay). Help always appreciated. ![]() |

As has been said many timed, federalization of Defenders in the US will cost upwards of $20K, if it is doable at all. If it were cheap, someone would be doing it for you already.
Here is the last thread on this from less than two weeks ago with some helpful links. http://landroversonly.com/forums/sho...mport+defender If you do import, good luck. Gordon

Jonsey,
Yeah for the price that you would need to spend to import one, you're better off getting a 109 and rebuilding it the way *you* want it...be that TDI, v8, automatic tranny, whatever... Hopefully next year I'll start on my 109 camper project. I'll prolly end up spending close to 20k USD on it, but it should do everything I want... Bogatyr
