I have just bought a 1978 swb landrover,Today a mate of mine has offered me a swb defender(county) rolling chassis with a V8 fitted. What i want to know is will the 78 body fit straight to the defender chassis. The 78 body is a pick up model.
Thanks....... Keefy.. |

If some one can cut and shunt a 78 corolla on to a patrol chasie then turn the back of the corolla in to pick up then most things can be done. It's time and money and the space to do it. Just a quick way to see if it might be an option is to start at the frount of one of the chasie's and measure the distance to the mounting points down the side. Compare this to the distances measured from the rolling chasie. If the are the same the you might be in luck. but that will only tell you if the paneling will fit in relation to the chasie but it's at least a place to start.
