well at least I work on Rovers instead of pretending to and wishing I did. such a shame, you probably would go hungry on flatrate. I tell you what Roverthen, shut the hell up and start working on cars for a living and then you will see what this job actually takes. dude seriously you pretend you know more then anyone here and then berate all technicians cause you seem to think you are better then they are when in fact you havent turned a wrench for a living. You dont know jack shit about rovers accept your own. Stop pretending like your the big man on campus and the class bully when in fact you are not. I have the utmost respect for rovermech and the other technicians then I ever will for you. He knows what bs comes with the job and still does it. We as technicians make less money then the money grubbing union guys that turn a few screws for 35 bucks an hour and put the vehicles together. we do twice as much work or half as much and still get our ass kicked by honyacks like you that think they can do the job and better. Id like you diagnose a no start situation on a BWM rover or change a heater core in a freelander and make time off it. you just wish you knew.

First of all the only person here pretending is you. That is quite clear.
I never pretended to be an expert or tech, unlike you. And then you bring in the other techs into this??? Even they have proven you wrong. This has nothing to do with anybody else. You are alone in this big boy. You sound like a 12 year old kid. So grow up, OK? Keep wishing Yoda. Quote:

Roverthen doesn't "pretend and wishes" he works on Rovers.. I wrench and wheel with him regularly, along with a few other guys on this board. We are not mechanics, not LR techs... we all come from different backgrounds and careers.. but we all share Land Rovers as a hobby we enjoy thoroughly. One thing that almost everyone here shares, is that we bleed green. We drive these trucks, we break motor mounts, we know how to fix them on the trail to get us home. I don't know if Roverthen will ever really need to diagnose a no start on a BMW Rover or a heater core on a Freelander.. but in the past couple months we've done a no start on a distributor-based D1 and a heater core on a RRC.. which is really the only thing that matters to us since thats what we own. As for Roverthen's attitude towards you, well I gotta say, you've earned it. Through your past postings about how clueless everyone is, and how the dealership is the only solution, you've lost a lot of respect in most peoples books. Either start respecting the members here, or just wait a few months, maybe a year or two.. and Ford will transfer you to another one of their marquees, and you'll forget all about Rovers.. You state before you don't own one, and it doesn't seem like you really want to. We appreciate all the advice that you can give us Do-It-Ourselvers, but please leave the holier-than-thou attitude at the dealership.
