D90 Import - Land Rovers Only

Has anyone ever looked into buying a Defender 90 overseas and have it shipped back to the states. I would like to own one and was just wondering what would be involved and how much it would end up costing ?

Has to be over 25 years old or if you don't mind spending around 20 grand you can import one and have it modified to meet certain safety regulations...
