Default Daily drive?

So I'm going to pick up an 02 Disco- Kalahari later this week. It's got 65K miles on it. My job is driving most of the day. Some days I only put 30 miles on the car, and the next I may put 100. I'm not worried about fuel cost since my company give me gas allowance.
But, will this car be reliable enough for about 350 to 400 miles a week?

It's been through EVERY service at the Rover dealership and is MINT! Just let me know what to expect... Should I just stick with the Audi for work and the Rover for play?

my RRC was doing that and more a week for quite some time she has recently been retired from DD work since I picked up a saab that is much better on gas. Not because she wasn't capable of doing it day in and day out.

I'm sure a 02 disco will be much better than a 17 year old RRC with 156k on the clock.

i don't drive a whole lot daily, but in the past i've put 20 miles per day minimum on my disco last summer. and every few weeks i'll put around 600miles in a day. as long as you perform all regularly scheduled maintenance, pay attention to your car, and are alert to the sights and sounds of a troubled engine/drivetrain you should have no problem. you can put on over 250k without a rebuild if things are done perfectly right....

Looking at a DII with that type of mileage, if it's being sold from a dealer; see if they're willing to offer an extended warranty package as part of the sale. The truck is up to it, but if something does arise, it's always nice to know that you're covered. When I purchased my DII with 29k on the clock, I was asked about the extended warranty. I said no, and less than six months after it was off its LRNA warranty, I blew the motor. 100% completely my fault, but if I had had the full CPO extended coverage, I would have saved over 8 grand. So it's something to look at.

The satisfaction of driving your disco every day will far outweigh any of its shortcomings. But, as everyone has said, if you keep up the maintenance you'll experience far fewer shortcomings. My wife drives her 2000 D2 quite a lot and it drives well and looks even better.

I'm not buying direct from a LR dealer, but it does have all records...
Can anyone recommend an extended warranty company?
Thanks,
E~
