Exclamation Does Canadian Landrover have to respect my American bought Warrenty?

I bought my car in the States, and the dealership is just an hour away from me, so its not a big issue, but does my Canadian Dealership have to treat my warrenty like i bought it local?
i havent tried yet, but i didnt know if i'd be out of line for asking them

Doesn't the warranty come from Land Rover North America? If so, I don't see why they wouldn't...

yes, but you are not getting a free rental since you didn't buy from them.

just remember the canadian dollar is more then the us.

their parts are more so dont buy anything or else you get robbed bad.

wolf, if you are canadian you may end up shafted by the dealer.

grey marketing isn't allowed. And dealers sometimes can tell you to go back the dealer you bought if from if you went over the border.

Read your wrranty thoroughly. There may be a residency restriction. This is rumoured to be one of the tactics that manufacturers are using to discourage Canadians from cross-border shopping vehicles.

All models of Land Rover sold in the States are also sold in Canada so you can legally import them. The government doesn't care as long as they get their tax. It's whether or not the manufacturer plays ball.

And Land Rover North America does not include Canada, oddly. Canada used to be Aston Martin Land Rover Jaguar of Canada. Now you can drop off the Aston Martin. Different subsidiary, still owned by Ford. Land Rover Canada's offices are in Brampton.

For the most part, if you become a regular service customer of a dealer in Canada, they'll still give you a rental if you need it. Each dealer budgets for that on their own, not part of the warranty unless it's trip interruption.
