Hailsharky I just saw a book in a bookstore the other day called the Four-Wheelers Bible, or 4x4 Bible, something like that. Written by a former LR off-road instructer. Pretty solid book, worth picking it up. When discussing building up a trail rig he had a great line that the steps are: 1) safety & recovery,,,,2) traction & clearance,,,3) everything else / advanced gear that you may or may not need depending on your wheeling like lockers & axles. Check this book out (great pics too)

And just to keep up with Land Rover content, here is the 110 Breadvan, streamlined as a brick that came in 7th in 2004 and 5th in 2003 with very limited sponsorship covering only spares.

A lot of people go the unreliable route when attacking land rovers. I must say that this is not entirely true. Every make has its flaws. Personally, I think land rovers are quite reliable. Every once and awhile every car has problems. I don't care what anyone else says. Many people like to judge cars by online forums like this. Problem with that is most posts on forums like this (most, not all) are asking about problems and how to fix them. Of course vehicles are going to sound unreliable if you're only looking at these kinds of things. Go out off-roading with a Land Rover! Every single person I've taken out has been absolutely amazed at the things I tackle in my stock classic range rover. I do things with absolutely no wheel spin that many other vehicles can't even imagine to tackle and that's with stock tires!

Man do I love land rovers. haha.

People may attack Land Rover forums, but have they visited other 4x4 forums. When you see the amount of mechanical/electrical problems posted on some of them, it's great owning a LR!
