Default Extended Warranties - who do you use?

I am trying to find a new provider of extended warranties and I tried the ones that are on the Rangerover.net suggestion list but they both want about $3500 for three years coverage.

My mechanic says that sooner or later I need new engine gaskets, but those on their own do not seem to be covered on the cheapos and on the expensive ones they want to inspect the vehicle first....

Thanks AGB

As for my self, I went with the Land Rover extended warranty. It cost more, but in the long run it will save you a head ache. Here in Hawaii many for the sealer ships sell extended warranties, but will not honer them. So you have to find a garage that will honer it. And let me tell you that is not easy here. And as for Land Rover warranties. You can sell the warranty when you sell the truck. As for my self I traded in my 04 Disco and sold back my warranty and I got all my money back from Land Rover. You can not do that with some fly by night warranty company. In short I say go with the Land Rover extended warranty

Of the three quotes we got, LR and 2 other, Land Rover Certified was the highest. None of the others indicated use of "used" parts. To date we have used ours twice, to correct a continual problem that Land Rover couldn't, and used new parts. LR Cert required it to be at a Land Rover shop, or other "Approved" shop, none of which they could find withing 200 miles of home, other than the dealer. LR was 50% higher than Warranty For Wheels.

two thousand dollars for an abs modulator gets a visit from an inspector and depending on the carrier a used part from a junkyard.

look at the fine print thats all I have to say. just becuase they didnt do it this or that time doesnt mean they dont have to.
