Default Extremely high revs.

Hey everyone, new member, but I've been reading up on the forum for a while. I hope this is the place to answer my question. Anyway, for one reason or another my truck will from time to time idle in Park and Neutral at just over 2,000rpm....not cool. Well this happened first time a while back, took it to the dealer and $116 for mechanic labor later, it was apparently an ECU prob. Well now shes acting up again and I have no idea what to do. I'm a starving college kid, so I can't be spending hundreds of dollars every other month on stupid maintence. Anyway hope someone can help.

P.S. Any other Rovers from either Arizona or Chicagoland area?

hello mate,
'sounds' like an ECU problem, especially if it is intermitant.... or perhaps a split in a vacuum pipe ?

best of luck
