Default Fascia Switches

I have a pair of hella auxilary lights.
I was wondering...

I have 3 blank fascia switch just black they don't go in.
But if you pull them out two of the switches are connect by wires so you can't pull them out all the way. The other one is just empty.

What are these two blanks switches with the wires used for?

If there not used for anything can I modify them to be real working switch with my auxiliary lights?

I also have a few blank switches by the heatscreen and down hill control panel.

One has wires still in it.

Anyone know?

They are for what you wanna do. They are for adding extra options like fog lights or what ever needs to be a swtiched power source.

Land Rovers North sell the switch that goes in place of the blank black spot and they sell a compete fog light wiring kit as well

I've seen those.
I have a 04 and those switches cost $65.00.

Can I use the existing blank ones?

Are you Flipping Serious?????

You pop the blank out un hook the plug from the back of it. Insert the connector in the back of the switch and pop in the dash .

The only thing you will need is a small screw driver and Good Hand Eye cordination.

I meant using the switches with the auxiliary lights.

I've looked around found a few mostly diagrams from discoweb.org

That all you really need . If you need more than that get someone who know how to read diagrams and knows a bit about electrical systems

You can buy the replacement for the blank, that is an actual working switch with the foglight logos on it. Get them from the dealer, Expedition Exchange, RoverParts, etc... I've got all of my binnacle switches replaced with foglight switches for the "factory" look. Two sets for the roofrack, and the set for the front bumper.
