So I was surfing one night and came across this Fuel Saver 7000MPG. http://www.fuelconcepts.com/how.htm
It looks intersting and promising but so did the Tornado I fell for a couple of years ago. I've been trying to research it but have not encountered any reviews on the internet to anyone admitting to using this or what the results were. I'd like to know if anyone has heard of it and what their experince was? For those that have not and are more mechnically inclined that myslef explain why you think it would or would not work? It kind of seems counter intuitive. It's doubling up on the fuel that enters the engine in an effort to cut fuel mileage. Site seems convincing and I think it could work but still much reservation. No of the other gadgets on the market seem so why should this one. The site of course said it has had positve reviews but I can't find any independent reviews just people trying to shop it. I want to try it myself but I'm saving that money for some DBA's as I'm in need of new rotors. I did some light math and if it worked to its supposed full potential, which is not likely it could give the DISCO 25mpg on the highway. Just thought I'd share.

I'm hoisting the BS flag high on this one. It is another product aimed at non-mechanically inclined individuals who rub snake oil on their owies.
Every engine is designed to have fuel injected into the combustion chamber through injectors in a pattern which optimizes mixture and vaporization. Injecting extra or even a portion of the existing fuel into the intake manifold prior to the chamber will do nothing except decrease your fuel mileage (not to mention it is recklessly dangerous to combine air and fuel prior to the combustion chamber... though it'd be fun to see someone's intake manifold detonate). If you believed our injectors don't vaporize the fuel efficiently enough you can send them out to be metered and adjusted at a premium you likely won't return in gas savings. I vote for buying the new rotors. |
