Default Green fuels

Aloha! Here in Hawaii they are going to start to make us use alcohol fuels. I see in the owners manual I can use 85%, but what will this do to my truck? I hear that the fuel will mess up allot of older cars. I just hope it will be cheaper!

That's interesting. Any idea how much it will cost per gallon? If my orders work out, I should return sometime in November with the Beast. I was on Island for about 3 weeks for a visit and left 10 March. I have an S-10 there and sure missed my Disco for the 5 weeks I was on travel. How's your job hunting coming along? I'll retire next June if I don't promote off this board and can't get a HYT waiver.

Joe,

They have not put out many details about the new fuel yet! The big joke is that we have to import the corn to make the alcohol. So much for not depending on other countries, but we will pay our farmers not to plant corn. As for the job hunting, I got a security job at the airport. I will start early April.

Bird,

Good on ya' at the airport. I'm gonna fall back on our courier service if we stay on island. I just had a friend relocate from there to Germany. He owns a 04 Disco and worked as the lead historian on Hickam and was contracted to open a library of sorts for the Air Force at Ramstein Air Base. Hopefully I'll catch up to you next summer.
