heated seats - Land Rovers Only

Has anyone had any trouble with heated seats? My heater element burned out and the guy that replaced the heating element said this is the second one he has had in a month but I was lucky, the other owners leather seats burned! Is this something we should be concerned about?

Burning?
I know the elements fail commonly but never heard of one torching over it.

If you are really concerned unplug the electric to the seat. It's an easy fix and then there is no chance of a seat related fire.

My wires come out of the seat at the rear portion of the center console. And then go into the center console but there is a plug there you can disconnect.
