Cool I Am Not Alone!

I had the high light of my tuesday today, along with the thread of the homemade snorkel.

I was leaving class today, and something out of the corner of my eye, immediately signalled "Land Rover" body. So I look, and it is a DII. Then I see who's driving, and it is a student, and I see a sticker in the windsheild showing he is a student at the school!!!

He pulls into the same lot I am pulling out of. I stop, and give him the thumbs up and tell him, "Nice Disco!" Then he says, "Thanks, nice Classic!"

This is pretty cool actually. Another rover dude at my school. All I could do is look and comment as he did the same. I glanced at his license plate, and he is a Virginian, not exactly sure where in Virginia. But if he knew that my Range Rover was a Range Rover Classic, something tells me, he is enthused about his rover as we all are. When I see him tomorrow, I wanna see what else he does with this truck. Probably go wheelin' somewhere, sometime.

That is the high light of my day.

It's amazing what comes at ya somedays. Me and that dude with the DII oughta join the Off Road Club we have here on campus, and enroll our trucks in it, just to change the cliche of Jeeps, and lifted pickups a bit. And the club goes to outtings in places in Indiana, and Kentucky, I think.

Afirover might know something.

That's awesome Pat . I met a guy around my age. He lives in fremont and has a olive green RRC with what appeared to 265's and a OME lift. I met him when I was working at Staples. He saw my Disco parked out front and I saw his RRC and we spoke a few words about the trucks. So now me and him are gonna be getting some plans together to hit some dirty areas in Fremont.

It's always cool to find someone with the same interests and Vehicle as yourself.

BTW way Pat was the Discovery stock or lightly built.

Hehe, yeah it is great to be around some buddies that share same vehicle interests as you do.

The DII looked stock, but might've had a 2" lift on it...I only saw it for a few minutes. I looked to be on stock tires. But 16" Alloys were the wheels. I will have to talk to him sometime later on tomorrow.

For some reason, lately I've been getting alot of "thumbs up" and "Cool truck" from rednecks, hillbillies, and other toothless wonders... maybe it's time to wash my truck...nah, winter is coming. That's what rain is for.

I can understand that X. It's not everyday that one sees a modded Rover in central valley. BTW u coming to the rubicon. I still on the verge of going but no wheeling as that is too hard for my D1. Just mainly to get a feel for the area and take pics.

Yeah...it is definately not often that I see around here another rover, driven for off road, around here in the mid west.

Nope...can't afford another $500 tow... But seriously, having some truck issues right now that I need to sort out plus I just dropped a bundle on a ring and I have a wedding to prepare for.
