Default I got a NEW DEFENDER!!!...

... only it's 1:64th the size!!

Hehe...I was doing my monthly Hotwheels run and came across a set of 5 Matchbox cars, one of which was this bute...

The back says

"My other Land Rover is a Matchbox"

Me thinks there must be an enthusiast working over at MB helping produce all the sweet rovers MB has put out.

Jeez dude way to get my hopes up with the thread title. Seriously I think you are right about the enthusiasts in the model factory, every time I go to walmart I see a different rover model.

Nice MB, I have the Range Rover model, spotted it in wally world last week. Cant beat them for 97 cents! I would like to find a nice larger scale model of a D1. Has anybody ever done a good mid 90's era D1, maybe with the brush guard on it. Cheers Mike

Somewhere I read a thread about collecting these little butes; now I'm looking for the damn things...scored a white 110 on my first outing and then a green Range Rover Sport the second time out. This shit is worse than crack!

Adding to the analogy...

I must have been a "crack" baby...lol...

I've had hotwheels all my life and starter collecting (as in Not opening the cases) when I got to 6th grade I blv, along with MBs. A few years later I discovered Johnny Lightning cars and have JUST abot every Camaro they have taken out. JL recently took out a line of CJ Jeeps...so It won't be long before we start seein Rovers.

The ones I would love to keep track of are the Maistos...they also make 1:64s but they make almost EVERY model of EVERY brand so its hard to go through those.

If you've gathered a few and have taken them out of the package, Johnny Lightning sells display cases. They come with an optional cardboard paper with a mirror film on it to put on the back side.

Dude, you're a serious "car" collector... I'm going to try and leave mine in the box, although my girlfriend's daughter is begging me to take them out so we can play cars. I've gotta buy some back-ups.

I came across an 87 RRC Matchbox in my basement, and also a red D90 from a toy car company called Majorette, from France. I do know that somewhere in my parents' house sits an 88" Series, still searching for the damn thing.

Nice D90 JC!
