Since posting my 109 up for sale here on this forum, I have had lots of enquiries from people Stateside. I have even had US bidders interested on my Ebay auction. Older Landrovers and spares are reletively cheap on this side of the pond.
Perhaps we should have a section put on the forum especially for importing/exporting. It could contain a bunch of useful information such as US import law and lists of shipping companies. It could also list a bunch of trusted individuals on both sides of the pond who can source good Landrover vehicles and spares and then take care of things Stateside. Just a thought. Just consider this-A good, clean, late RRC can be picked up here for a couple of thousand dollars! A good V8 or Series 2/3 engine is a couple of hundred dollars! |

I have a bunch of links saved somewhere on my laptop... I will post some tonight when I get home. The laws are pretty strict and IMHO, one should work backwards... as in find the right company who is certified to bring the LR into the US, then find the LR you want.
