Default JC's Camel Trophy Experience...

LOL..not really but I was looking for the video. I went to my dealer (Land Rover South Dade...which SUCKS) on Friday. I walk up to the receptionist - Parts & Accs Dept. was closed for some reason - who is flirting with one of the techs and ask...

JC: Would you guys happen to know if you have any of the Camel Trophy Movies in stock?

Receptionist & Tech:

Tech: Camel what??

JC: The Camel Trophy movies man...ONLY the most famous Land Rover expeditions!!!

Receptionist:

Tech: I don't know man, you would have to talk to _____ (forgot his name, the head hancho of the dealer)

Hancho JUST so happens to show up at that moment and he explains that they havent had them for a few years and that Land Rovers North Dade didnt have them either.

I simply COULD NOT believe that a TECH!!!! was CLUELESS as to what the Camel Trophy was! Before I responded to his "Camel what???" my jaw dropped! I did a "is-this-really-happening" type of face.

I've read a few other experiences on here similar to mine, but if you've had a recent one please do post!..lol

well, i would never infringe on a copyrighted film by making an illegal copy but...

i've heard (from other people) that a program called handbrake works well. it is supposedly able to decrypt and encode into .mp4, .avi, etc. search the interweb for it.

a

Rovers North has a lot of the CT videos, but they are all available in the LR mags like Land Rover Enthusiast and Land Rover Owners Int'l.
