isn't that jet fuel?

back home, we use that fuel to race with high-performance engine. I have no idea what avtur will do to LR engine, I don't think it's gonna work though...it's like 100 octane.

If memory serves, there are some jet fuels that are nothing more than a highly refined diesel oil with a few additives - it may work, but I know absolutely nothing about it...

I Know For A Fact This Stuff Works But Am Thinking It Aint Doin The Engine Allot Of Good, It Runs Fine No Drama's But I Am Only Adding A Bit Of Engine Oil To Degrade The Fuel And Put A Bit Of Lubricant Through The Engine. I Just Would Like To Know What Sort Of Ratio's I "should" Be Using

I used to run JP5/JetA1 in a Volvo Penta diesel. I mixed it 15/1. The oil used was a mil spec 40wt. I'd use something like lucas oil stabilizor which is a pure oil rather than regular motor oil as to avoid using detergents meant for crankcase oil.

Land Rover's 'Expedition Guide' says that diesel engines can be run on kerosene, Jet-A or old low-sulphur diesel if you add a couple of tablespoons of clean engine oil for every 50 litres (which I think is about 13 US Gallons).

I wouldn't like to try this in a common-rail diesel like the Td5 or TdV6 though.
