Default Just still a thought!

I was thinking of trading in my 04 Disco for an LR3. The staealership will let me have brand new V6 LR3 SE with priumium package for $24,000.00 plus my truck. Or a used V6 LR3 for $19,000.00 plus trade. As for my Rover it has 31,000 on the ODD and ARB bull bar and ARB side steeps with Hella 500 on the front wired into the fog lights. Is it a good deal

I was under the impression that the '04 was sort of like one of those vehicles that will be very much sought after since it is the last year they made that body style - or basically that truck. If this is the case, is would seem like you could work a better deal or go thru a PP. If not, then I am totally wrong, which is a pretty big possibility!

Dont listen to Steve he is always wrong Just look at his mating habits. Everybody knows that Alpacas are out and baby gators are in

honestly though you might be better selling private as you should be able to get more than what the dealer is willing to give you. PS-sorry for the parital hijack here

Why trade at all when you have a perfectly good truck that's newer than anything most people will ever own? You're not going to gain much by making the switch to an LR3, I say just keep what you have.

Then again, I've never gotten rid of a vehicle that still ran [shrugs]

Bird,
You trade in your 04 and I won't speak to you any more.
The LR3 is not near the truck off the road of a nice 04. Yes it might have more power and be a little smoother riding but if you ever move back to the states where you can actually use a 4wheeler you will miss the 04.
Take care,
Mike

I'd stay with the 04

yes the LR3 is capable off road but you have to add the polysomething A-bar and original roof rack to make it acceptable LOL

Plus those Disco's still have solid rigid axles in the front and rear, right? Makes easier for lifting and off road capabilities.

its kind of a toss up for me, i love the LR3, but the 04 Disco is one of my favorite LRs. whatever you decide is entirely up to you, but if you do go with the LR3, i think you would be much better off selling the 04 private party.

Default Thanks for the inputs

One of the mechanics at the stealership said to hold on the the Disco, because it will be sought after in a few years. And with the money I would have to spend to get the LR3. Why hell I could get a winch and all the other toys and still come out on top. I think I will keep the Disco. And just drive it more off road.

PS. No problem with the girl, just next have her standing up with out the lizard

I hope your disco doesn't get wind of you wanting to trade her in. It's all over then.

Somehow, her holding the baby gator makes it hot. I dunno, maybe X's attention towards animals is really a plague transmitted easily through the net. I feel sick now.
