Default Land Rover Tech Job Offer

The shop is busy- we need another tech! We've got restorations stacked up for the next year at least plus our normal service work, it's a great chance to do some innovative restorations as well as stay "up" on the regular Rover stuff. Testing and prototyping parts and accessories and other unusual and fun stuff is commonplace.
We do everything from Series trucks to Range Rover Sports and everything in between. Lots of rare and unusual Rovers pass through the doors on a daily basis.
MUST be a "real" tech with tools, not a shadetree or part swapper. Fabrication skills are a huge plus, basic welding at minimum. We have an Autologic and a three bay heated shop with lift etc. The business is growing and here's a chance to move to rural Vermont where the wheelin is fantastic and the houses are cheap. Heck, you can fish the river from the parking lot!
Comprehensive benefit and compensation package as well as employee discounts on Rover parts and accessories.

Sounds like a great job! I wish I knew trucks better and I could get the wife to move to the East cost. Any way do you need an aircraft mechanic?

Well, a couple of us are pilots and we've been thinking about doing a kitplane. I'll probably do one in the next couple of years. There's a nice little airport here that strangely enough has some really neat planes hidden away there. Sukhoi, Extra, couple of Stearmans, coupla Pitts...

Steve, what kind of plane are you thinking of building? I'm in the selection process right now and I've narrowed it down to the Zenith CH701 or Murphy Rebel.

I'm leaning towards something fast like the EZ series, but then again something in the new sport category might work. My mind changes constantly.

There's a lot of custom homes and stuff in the area- i'm betting there's a fortune to be made doing those.
