Default Let's start an argument forum!

That way ,everytime P76 rangie and 300bhp/ton want to spew their opinionated crap (backed with long winded speculations and lots of pictures!) will have a place to go instead of jamming up threads that people are trying to get information from.
Here's one, I don't think either of these guys have a D2. Head Gasket
Here's an argument waiting to happen! Several Wheel Questions
A direct attack! So who here believes p76rangie's 4.4 V8 makes 400lb ft @ 1600rpm?
A personal favorite! Fording - March 2007

Fun fun!
Why don't you two quit jammin up threads with your giant heads?

lol.

But can you tell me how different the DII V8's engine is to any other Rover V8 engine??? The question was simple enough and non-specific to a DII.

So why do I need to own a particular vehicle just to make a comment on it??

Now let me see. Oh yes, Roverhound who only ever posts criptic messages and never offers anything constructive and Sith who joins the forum and starts posting agressive replies straight away. The forum would be very interesting then.

Roverhound, thanks for highlighting that people were waiting on an answer from me on the rim discussion.

You will notice I did not get involved in the direct attack thread you highlighted.

Discussions on the build quality of LR products comes up on a regular basis on just about every LR forum in the world.

I can only assume that you have brought up the older threads to get an argument going. Good Luck!!

Sith, you raise a good point. You should start a thread where you and roverhound can put all your personal insults so that we can keep the threads a lot shorter and more pleasant. Here are a FEW of Roverhounds and your comments for just the last month. Most are having a go at someone, others I just find funny.

“So unless you have anything positive or productive to say .....go find someone else to badger”

“that is so pathetic it doesn't even warrant a comment .”

““sarcasam being the lowest form of wit””

“you make My point exactly ..your a padantic agumentative insipid individual .”

“Bwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha
Gold !”

“Bwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa”

“BBBwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa aaaa”

“Would articulating up a kerb to wash the vehicel count ?
You could ramp it out at 100mm”

“10 spine axles are only rated to a 28 inch tire in casting spec's .”

“Trailing arms bend with travel and large diameter tires , simple suspension maths tells you that .”

“ARB wont even warrant thier lockers in a Rover if you exceed recommended tire size of 28 inches .”

“Sometimes it pays to take more care choosing your enemies than your friends “

“You would appear to be a pedantic individual “

“That is just to funny!
http://www.landroversonly.com/forums...ad.php?t=16810
Has recommendations for good parts suppliers.”

“I'm full of myself! That's rich!”

“Mike is mad because you disagreed with him. Simply put, Mike is always right in Mikes world, how dare you disagree!”

“I've said it before, Roverland is great if you like a dry fuck with no reach around.”

“And it also features another one of LRO's resident blow hards.”

“I'm calling bull shit on that Mike.”

“Buk buk buk buk scratch scratch buk buk.”

“Bling it is boys. Good luck.”

Question “Also i've been reading the threads about CV and Diff damage, I'll be mostly running on sand, perhaps the odd mild rocky outcrop. whats the real chances of damage? “

Roverhounds answer “You'll be fine with 33's. Don't be a chicken, you know you want them.
Been running 33's for over a year with no problems and without regearing.”

“Why don't you start another thread and we can discuss it outside of this suck up hero worshipping thread.”

“I'm from New Jersey.”

“Champion RC12MC-4 , stock number 318 gap at .032
If you hate your truck get Bosch plugs.”

“Lockers in snow and ice?!!! Brilliant!”

“I think a lot of the information on this and other sites is speculation and needs to be takin with a grain of salt.”

“beware of the person who tries to discredit anyone elses advice nearly all the time. This speaks of a little self importance and there is probably an ego thing going on. Also beware of the person that spouts about they're experiance or knowledge, they can lead you to costly repairs or mistakes.”

“I'm running dual TT's “

“Check the bushings, if they're not poly, they're shot”

“He needs to be ridiculed until he commits suicide.”

I have tried Champion spark plugs on and off for over 30 years. Every time I have used them I have had to replace them virtually straight away due to them making the car run like crap. In the last 12 months a salesman convinced me they had changed and talked me into their gold (?) plugs. Same result, had to throw them out.

I said some of the comments I found funny. and I do find that comment funny based on my long experience with champion plugs.

Champions are what Rover designed the igntion around. Bosch plats, No one used them OE. No one! Sure. you might find some that work, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I havent seen Bosch plats last more then 10,000 miles in anything, usually, they start misfireing shortly after. They are junk of the highest order, and cause plenty of heartburn for people who use them, then try to hunt down the misfire ghost because "I just replaced the plugs". I hate those plugs.

Just because you don't like the way I say it doesn't make me wrong. And you are one of the blowhards I was refering to P.
Some of those quotes don't show the context in which I wrote them. And if you go search the D2 section, the one where I offer advice because I actually own a D2, you'll notice I help when I can.
But then you have the blowhards that answer in every forum because they know it all.

There is already a forum like that - its called Discoweb. I personally never visit there anymore because it seems that everyone is attacking everyone else, just because they don't like their opinions. Let's not turn this forum into that please. Ever heard the old saying about opinions and assholes? So let's all just keep it civilized because slinging insults from the comfort of your computer is wrong on a lot of levels. Keep in mind that what brings us all here (hopefully) is 1. love of rovers and 2. so we can learn from others.

Peace.
