Default Lots of Landies/Rangies

For those that like photos of Landies/Rangies, Here in Oz they just celebrated the 60th anniversery of Landrover with a bit of a get together.

There were a total of 767 Land Rovers and 1367 people registered -

Series 1 - 88
Series 2/2a - 90
Series 3 - 116
110/Countys - 34
Defenders (90/110/130) - 177
Discoverys (1, 2, 3) - 160
Range Rovers / Sports - 81
Freelanders - 6
Forward Controls - 4
101s - 5
Lightweights - 5
Bushrangers - 1

560 of those were in the Grand Parade, which is more than the 50th Anniversary celebrations in the UK! Attendees came from every State and Territory in Australia, as well as Denmark, England, New Zealand and the USA.

Here are some photos along with other photos of the local landrover club:

That's just plain awesome. Though, aren't 101's considered FC's in Oz, as well?

There was a forward control landy as per:
Land-Rover Forward Control

And there was the 101 as per:
Land Rover Forward Control 101 (FC101)

Yes the 101 is a forward control design. Calling it a 101, separately to Forward Controls, was simply a way of differentiating the two models

It was an awsome event, Landy heaven, sleeping in a swag amongst hundreds of Landys, Bloody cold though at one stage i think it got down to 4degrees overnight and 10 deg in the morning brrrrrrrrrr.
One of the very first Landys in australia(2nd one off the boat i was told) was there it arrived 6th August 1948 it's still registered and driven on the road!!!!!.

Very cool Ian. One thing, do you have any photos of all the Rovers together? For some reason, when I look at the thumbnail page, 90% of them are so washed out, I can't tell what they are. At first I thought you were trying to be artistic, messing with different exposures, but if I click on them they are normal when full sized. But I don't have time for looking through 80 pages of photos.
I can see a lot of Rovers every day over here, if I go to the mall.

Ha, four degrees thats nothing.

Although sleeping in a swag that cold is not picnic. I have done that a few times.
