I was just thinking about the lpg engines...I would guess they would not save any money here in the states, with the lack of refueling options, but I would like to hear if anyone has done a fuel injected rover...just to know the range/ operation cost, as well as the set up cost and what all it takes...I tried to search, but lpg is just too short of a word...

I don't know if the ranges are similar or not but my dads company uses CNG a 80 pound tank think 4 propane tanks for a grill resulted in 280-325 miles in a 3/4 ton truck

What are you looking to convert. If it is a classic, you will get away with a single point conventional LPG system. If it is a P38 or later, or Disco 2, you really need to look at LPG injection systems.
In the states your LPG is 100% propane and should get better power and economy compared to the shitty 50% propane/50% butane mix we have here. But out of a Rangie classic you would expect to use about 20 litres to do 100kms. Better than this on a trip, worse around town. Impco is a US supplier of LPG conversion equipment. Their equipment is reasonably good. So they might be a good starting point for you. |

Try searching using liquid petroleum gas, instead of lpg.

I have just purchased a 2000 Range rover . I live in Melbourne and was wondering where I should go for a LPG conversion and what fuel tank configurations work the best ?
Also anyone know where I can go for custom made sheepskin covers (South of Melbourne metro) Thanks Sammy |
