Mechanic Suggestion for Fairfax, VA

Hello: I am not sure if this query is appropriate for this forum. If not, please feel free to ignore or direct me in the right direction. I am moving to Fairfax, VA in the near future and am looking for a REPUTABLE and REASONABLE independent mechanic who can work on my 2004 Disco II. I am looking for someone to do various repairs, the 65K service, and also to possibly install a 2" lift.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

There are a number of them...in order of my preference:
1. Capitol Motorcars in Purcellville (30-45mins from Fairfax) - best and most reasonable - in my opinion (i would go here first)...also owns a heavily moded Disco and a great guy to boot....Capitol Motorcars of VA 540-338-2211
2. Loudoun Rover - out on rte 50 (has an advert here) and is reputed to be very good and knowledgable Loudounrover Northern Virginia USA
3 Roverland 4x4 - never dealt with them - independent store, seem to have a good website and some good advise on website. Maybe someone else can comment. Roverland 4x4

Jonesy: Thanks for this. I am pulling the disco out of storage after a year in moth balls. I am sure that there will be some things that have mysteriously stopped working and will take it to Capitol motorcars per your advice!

There used to be a really good guy at the LR dealer at Tysons Corners who left and opened his own shop. I'll see if I can find his card.

I'm still hopefull of finding that guy's card, but there is always Dan Chapman, about an hr and a half west of you for the lift and other mods.

Yeah there are many mechanics. they are superv.they will not give you the chance of complaining.

Check out airpark rovers in Gaithersburg MD. Best mechanics in this area and the prices are very competitive. Worth the drive...
