Well here's the deal.
I just got a 05 LR3 HSE with everything. Fully loaded. Anyway, A large concern. My question is. I tinted my windows, but, now... the only 2 of the 4 buttons on the Navigation works. Which window do I have to untint to enable the Navigation to work perfectly? Where is the factory nagivation antenna? Thank you. |

I don't think that tinting your windows will affect the button operation on your nav system, after all, the antenna can still lock onto satellites when there is medium cloud cover, however, whilst we are on this subject, expect to lose reception if there is extremely heavy cloud cover. I would go so far as to suggest that the button issue is a warranty job.

The sales Manager at Farmington Valley told me he is having trouble getting HSE models because of a problem with the head unit on th Nav. Guess he was right.

Your tint job had nothing to do with it... sounds like a known issue at LR... warranty claim time...

See if it is the warranty issue first.
Then if it is the tinting, just get non metalized tint on the windows that have the antenna. I dont know which ones they are, but LR will tell you. Post some picks please, and have you any plans on upgrading anything for true Land rover use? Mark 00 Disco |

congrats on the LR3...once you get past the technology, underneath lies a very capable off road machine...pure land rover
anyway the GPS antenna should be located in the right hand side of the upper tailgate mounted spoiler. take a look around the third brake light area...you may be able to identify it sounds like your button issue isn't related to the tint job ![]() |
