No Yellow Knob?!

just looked at a 109 series 3 CKD RHD (Australia) . No yellow knob.

Does this mean its permanent 4 wheel drive? - or is it 2 wheel drive with the red knob forward - 4 wheel drive with the red knob back?

Confused. Put it on gravel and all the wheels looked like they wanted to spin at the same time whichever position the red knob was in.

Any ideas gratefully appreciated.

cheers,

DS

Would need to know more about.

As standard the yellow lever pushes down/up and selects High Range 2wd -> High Range 4wd on the transfer box.

The Red lever, moves back and forth and goes High Range 2wd -> Low Range 4wd on the transfer box.

If it isn't running a standard gearbox/transfer box, then it may well be doing something else.
