Thumbs up Picked it up today! FINALLY!

After several weeks of traveling and working, I finally took a day off, drove 200 miles and picked up my new toy.

2002 LR Disco KALAHARI. Drives like a dream. The ONLY issue, the blackout hood is fading... Anyone got any tips?

These are the dealers pics, I'll do my own soon... Kinda rainy this evening.

These wheels are kick ass. I've already gotten compliments on them today from other Rover owners!

More pics in a couple days.

Great looking rover.

For the faded hood, I have used a compound called TR-2 comes in a Small metal can silver and blue and is available at most auto parts places.

Oh, Hey tell US what the 2002 LR Disco KALAHARI has that a standard 02 Discovery is missing. I had a chance to buy a G4 but the orange was faded on pretty much the whole vehicle.

Tips:
1. Do a full service all fluids and depending on mileage plugs air filter and lube the door hinges.
2.Clean and wax the wheels, helps keep the powder coting in good shape.

Awesome! I'm jealous, I'm a sucker for the Kalaharis and the G4 discos. If you want another blackout that's not painted you can check out viggdesigns.com

Yep, good choice. I've got the Borrego yellow as well. Welcome to the Kalahari Klub. There's only 350 of us around the world, so it's pretty small, lol. Go to muddyoval.com, and register in their LRSV section, so we can keep track of where they're at. GFor the blackout, either LRNA dealer, or Vigg Designs for the decal. Or strip it, mask it, and do a bedliner material in matte black. The wheels are called type 4 alloys, and powdercoated in anthracite, if you ever need a replacement.
