Trying to remove the rear bumper on my Classic and one of the bolts is not cooperating. Been soaking it with PB and smacked with hammer, but no budge and it's starting to round. And of course it's barely reachable.
Is heat the next step??? And do you heat the bolt or the surrounding metal? And to make things worse.... I have only one beer in the fridge. ![]()

You'd be surprised what you can accomplish with an air compressor and impact gun! Beer is optional.

Get a torch dude! Watch for nearby melty bits, but if you can get it nice and toasty (red), bold/nut should come right apart. If not, it may need to be cut and replaced reguardless...
good luck! I hate rust!! |

Anyways, I managed to get the bolt out. I now know what the PB stands for..... Patience + Beer! Hit it with PB then drink a beer then try again... repeat as needed. This one was a 4 PB bolt. Army guess you're not drinking Gearys if you recommend 5.

![]() Actually your forgetting I'm in the Army Infantry which qualifies me for the All Army Drinking team.... That and I tend to go straight to crown royal or until I ran out a few weeks back Johnny Walker Blue Label. I highly reccommend it.
