Hello everyone, I have a 97 Discovery and I am trying to replace the Shift Indicator assembly. I have figured out how to remove the console, switches etc, but how does the shift knob separate from the shaft so I can put it through the new unit? I have taken off the top of the shifter knob (the cap)and i can't figure out how to remove the retaining clip that holds the shift indicator shaft in place, so i can remove the knob. i don't want to break it... any suggestions?
thanx phil |
