Default Steering Wheel Wobbles???

Hi Folks, I need help from the experts! I have a 2001 Disco II and my steering wheel wobbles when I get closer to 50mph, then steadies itself after it shifts gears to about 53ish. There's a huge giration that makes the truck shake. At first I thought it was the steering stabilizer, but it isn't - I've replaced that. This all started when I switched out the wheels to some used LR3 wheels and tires.

What else would it be? Is it something I can replace myself or would I have to take it to the shop. I'm a little higher than a novice when it comes to repairs.

Thanks in advance for the great advice!

Check the wheel balance. It's a cheap fix, around here, tire shops will balance a wheel for $8 to $10 per wheel. Have you looked at your tire tread for unusual wear such as cupping?

Which wheels did you switch to, some are hub centric and requires a spacer, otherwise they will not stay centered or tight and can wobble.

This may be the problem. I have the 18" LR3s and just put them on. I guess you need spacers? What is the part number? or actual name of the piece?
