So , for a while my driver's side window has been broke. The motor works , but the window is off the track , should i just replace the window regulator or , is there any thing else that could be wrong with it??
Look , i know ive been a butt about some things , but i m trying to fix this in the next 3 hours , becasue im ordering parts soon , so please help
damn.. you don't own a couple of screwdrivers? could be any number of things. a bolt could have came loose. one of the flat peices of metal that make up the sissor part could be bent. the gear on the motor could be striped. it could have rusted and disintegrated who knows. if the window go's up and down but crooked its bent.

what would be bent , and about the motor , on mine i can hear it working , it clicks though when it tries to push the window all the way up , it stops with about a inch , and clicks nonstop.
there's flat peices of metal that cross kind of like sissors that open and close pushing the window up and down. at the bottom of this there is a large gear well a quarter of a gear anyway. the bottom of this could be bent some how causing the motor to miss the last part of the gear causing the window not to go all the way up and why you hear the clicking.
1.)Invest in a Haynes/Chilton Manual (or a FSM for that matter)
2.)Get some basic tools together. (Buy or Barrow)
3.)Reference the manual to take the door apart
4.)Look for what is wrong (as has been described to you, and what may be obvious)
5.)Order the parts based on this information
6.)Fix and re-assemble the door.
Other wise you should just take it in to get fixed. If you don't have the tools to take the door apart I don't know how you plan to fix it. You learn by doing, if you have a mechanically inclined friend with tools you can also get their help. The rest is up to you.
Violet is trying to help, but in reality without taking the door apart it could be a number of things.
THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS TAKE THE PANEL OFF THE DOOR AND RUN THE WINDOW SWTICH TO SEE WHATS MOVING OR NOT MOVING
If you here the motor moving the window could be off the track or the Scissor type think mechanisme that has a gear on it is either seized or the gear on it that runs alone the teeth in the window motor could be broken off or the the teeth on the gear on the window motor could be gone as well.
Take the panel off inspect the operation of the window fix or replace what is needed.
Askin a person over the internet what is wrong with you car is like calling you doctor and tellin him over the phone that you dont feel well and expectin him to make you feel better

I hope you are seeing the pattern here. 99 percent of the time you can't diagnose a car problem over the internet without at least some kind of information. And a big part of that information is what do you see behind the door panel. Its like asking us what some weird noise is under your hood is without popping the hood and looking. It just doesn't work that way. If everyone is saying it could be multiple things its time to at the least if you can't get a Manual or FSM to get some screw drivers and pop the plastic off the door and look.
If you are planning to replace the regulator because Ultraviolet said so (in your head), what's stopping you from removing the door panel to look at it. It isn't rocket science...
Just go to a Home Depot, or even Walmart and pick up some basic tools. Then go home and pull the door panel off. Thats all the help we can give you right now.
